Challenge
In response to significant control issues identified during the statutory audit for the previous fiscal year the client engaged Intrinz Inc. to perform a comprehensive review of its capital asset processes. The purpose of this engagement was to identify gaps in the client's capital asset lifecycle and provide recommendations within a 60-hour review window.
Scope
Execute a review through interviews with key process owners, transaction walkthroughs, system evaluations, report inspections, spot checks, and reconciliation procedures.
Deliverables
From our findings we recommended improvements for reporting tools, standardized procedures, and enhanced internal controls. Additional measures included clear role definitions, division of duties, and regular reconciliations to maintain accurate, compliant financial records.
Impact
As a result of this engagement, the client experienced improved efficiency in its capital asset process ensuring assets are properly tracked and accounted for.
